Ecommerce Website & Application Design
UI/UX Designer, Visual Designer
2024
Summary
Klinq, a regional e-commerce retailer, partnered with our agency to redesign their existing online store. As the lead UI/UX designer, I oversaw the project end-to-end, from research and wireframes to interactive prototypes and final design. The scope included auditing the current site, redefining the information architecture, and creating a mobile-first, conversion-optimized experience. Within two weeks of launch, the redesign drove measurable impact: a 360% increase in orders, 140% increase in conversion rate, and a significant lift in average order value.
Challenge
Klinq’s previous website suffered from poor navigation, inconsistent user flows, and a lack of localized design considerations such as right-to-left (RTL) support for Arabic. Customers struggled to browse products, filter effectively, and complete purchases efficiently. The challenge was to create a modern, intuitive, and brand-aligned e-commerce platform that would not only simplify the buying journey but also drive business growth in a competitive digital retail landscape.
Solutions
We delivered a comprehensive redesign that streamlined the entire shopping experience, from homepage to checkout. Key improvements included:
-
Optimized Navigation: Reduced clicks from five to two for users to reach desired pages.
-
Category Enhancements: Introduced advanced product filtering by type, size, and scent, creating differentiation in the market.
-
Localization: Implemented RTL layouts, Arabic-optimized typography, and mirrored UI elements for a culturally intuitive experience.
-
Brand Integration: Extended packaging and marketing design elements into the digital environment for stronger brand consistency.
-
Mobile-First Design: Addressed critical desktop pain points while prioritizing seamless mobile usability.
The result was a high-performing platform that not only elevated user satisfaction but also exceeded client KPIs post-launch.
